ID LAB is currently working on the Westmead Hospital project, providing wayfinding strategy and design for this $900 million redevelopment. Designed by HDR Rice Daubney and to be built by Multiplex, this redevelopment consists of a new 12-story acute services building that connects with the adjacent adult and children’s hospital.  The building includes separate adult and paediatric emergency departments, a new helipad, pharmacy, medical imaging, cardiac inpatient units, sterilising service, a NSW Infectious Diseases Unit, state-of-the art operating suites and surgical inpatient units. A new main entry and transit lounge for post treatment patients departing the hospital are also included in the new designs.  This large-scale project also includes the Westmead Innovation Centre, offering a unique space for research and education.
