ID-LAB partnered with Caroline Chisholm Catholic College in Braybrook to improve the student, staff and visitor experience – with a strong focus on enabling the entire community to feel more independent and safe.

To deliver this the current wayfinding strategy across their 2 campuses needed to be tested and improved. The brief was to:

·Design wayfinding that was a natural part of the environment without it being a distraction

·Complement the many architectural styles

·Create a strong and clear identity for the campuses

The ID-LAB team worked closely with the school to change the paradigm in the way wayfinding was delivered.

Students commented that the new system was ‘Easier to read… harder to get lost.’ The provision of a clear and logical wayfinding system has been embraced by staff and students. Visitors to the campus including casual staff and maintenance contractors feel welcomed, informed, able to be autonomous. There are also now 'improved flows' through reception and via specific student entrances.

According to Richard Liistro – Director of Communications: “I was kept up to date throughout the process – from strategy to implementation- ID LAB’s information and communication was prompt. The result: Brilliant and seamless - The new system has transformed how students move around the campus”.
